Love in Spanish by Karina Halle

Successful, wealthy and absurdly handsome – Spanish ex-football player Mateo Casalles seemed like he had it all. A high-society wife, an adorable little girl, and flashy apartments in Madrid and Barcelona only sweetened the deal. But there was more to Mateo than met the eye – a life of uncertainty and regret that colored his black and white world.

That was until Vera Miles came into his life like a shooting star. Tattooed, wild and young, Vera seemed like Mateo’s polar opposite at first. But you can’t choose who you fall in love with and the two lost souls did everything they could to be together, all while suffering the grave consequences.

Now with Mateo divorced and living in Madrid with Vera, there is a whole new set of challenges and setbacks facing the couple and rocking the foundation of their star-crossed relationship.

Unfortunately for them, the brighter the star, the faster they burn.

Wow. I can’t get enough of Mateo and Vera! Sadly though, their story, for us has come to an end.

Another heart clenching, gut wrenching story from Halle. This will carry you in it’s whirlwind right to the very end.

Mateo and Vera’s love story, whilst a beautiful one, has never been an easy one and in this second instalment, written from Mateo’s POV, it’s not about to get any easier.

This is a twister of emotion, from love that sends you to the highest cloud to agonizing heart-break. Packed with drama (in the most adult of manners), passion and raw unadulterated, boundless, beautiful love. I felt every emotion as if I was in Mateo’s head the whole ride. Down to the sound of his sensuously gruff and charming Spanish accent.

Halle is a true genius. I never tire of her story telling which sucks me into its vacuum and spits me out wanting more, at the end. There is a true beauty to her writing when it comes to Mateo and Vera. The way she writes about the stars in the universe and the infinite ways that love glides through its atmosphere. All of this rooted in our main characters. Love isn’t always plain sailing and I adore the way that Karina has dealt with issues in this book that really put pressure on the relationship and whether it can sustain the damages. It gives it a gritty, real feel.

You truly come away from this book believing that, no matter how many lemons life throws at you, when you find someone that you can feel in your gut and deep in your soul, that this is the person for you. Then love can overcome anything (Cheese).

If you loved Love, in English s much as I did then you will LOVE this. A great conclusion to an epic romance with bite

Then to top it off, we get a sneak peek into Josh’ world with Where Sea Meets Sky and OhMyGosh . . .  I can’t wait to read on with Josh and Gemma’s story. She certainly knows how to leave you hanging.
